# Monthly Report

The **monthly report** is an auto-generated summary of the overall cash flow for the selected month. You can access this by going to the **OVERVIEW** tab of the finance section.

The Monthly Report is presented mostly through graphs/charts for easier readability of the data. It includes the following:

* **INCOME** - Total Gross Income for the month
* **EXPENSE** - Total Expenses for the month 
* **NET INCOME** - Total Net Income for the month. This is computed by deducting your expenses from your income.
* **DAILY INCOME** - Daily income in bar graph form.
* **INCOME BY CATEGORY** - Amount of income by category
* **EXPENSE CATEGORY** - Amount of expenses by category

### What's the importance of this?

Here are some of the reasons how a monthly report will help you in your dental practice:

* You can use these data to track and improve your clinic's performance.
* You can check what category/procedure gives you the most income so you can focus more on improving them.
* You can see the overview of your expenses and improve how you can minimize your expenses in the clinic. 
* You can use this to have a realistic monthly goal or monthly quote. For example, this month we aim to have P400,000 in income and limit expenses to P50,000.
